Specialist paediatric dietitian

Aimee McEvilly
Hi! I'm Aimee and I am a Paediatric Dietitian, with over 10 years of experience working as a registered Dietitian for the NHS.
I work part-time as a Clinical Specialist in General Paediatrics at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
I started my own private practice to be able to support families who need prompt advice and more time invested to help them to overcome feeding challenges, however small or big.
I provide expert advice for infants, children and adolescents with a range of feeding challenges. This ranges from advice for meeting nutritional needs on a vegan or vegetarian diet, to managing children with complex medical and feeding difficulties, including tube feeding.
One of my main areas of expertise and one I feel passionately about, is supporting children and their families with managing food allergies. I have recently taken up a role as an advisor for Allergy UK and I am an active member of the British Society of Allergy and Immunology (BSACI).
From families with newborns trying to get to the bottom of why their babies are so unsettled with ongoing symptoms, through to families with older children with possible emerging allergies or suspected food intolerances, I am here to help you navigate these and take the stress away. You should not be doing this alone.
I am also a mum to an amazing daughter, Iris, and have first hand experience with managing her conditions including reflux, eczema and battling through the picky eating and headstrong toddler years!
Advice will therefore always be evidence-based but also practical and tailored to your family's needs.
My goal is to help families feel confident and positive moving forward with their feeding journey.

Outside of 1-1 appointments, I have experience delivering lectures at Birmingham City University and Aston University on dietetic topics such as ‘Managing Multiple Food Allergies’ and ‘An Introduction to Common Paediatric Nutritional Problems,’
Additionally, I have written articles for the Practice Nursing Journal.
I look forward to working with you and your family.
