Hi, I'm Aimee

I am a Paediatric Dietitian, with over 10 years of experience working as a registered Dietitian for the NHS.  I work part-time as a Clinical Specialist in General Paediatrics at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

I started my own private practice to be able to support families who need prompt advice and more time invested to help them to overcome feeding challenges, however small or big.

Aimee McEvilly Paedatric Dietitian

Are you unsure if your child has an allergy?

Are they having symptoms but you just can't get to the bottom of what it might be?

I can help at all stages of managing food allergies.

Faltering growth

Are you concerned about your child's growth or has their growth been flagged by a healthcare professional?

I can help look closely at your child's growth and give advice on how to boost their nutritional intake to be able to thrive.

Selective eating

Is it just picky eating? Or is it more than that?

Do you worry that your child is getting enough variety or enough full stop?

I will spend time looking at the foods your child will eat, their meal and snack patterns and look at how we can gradually increase the variety of accepted foods.

Tube feeding

Does your child have a feeding tube, whether that be a nasogastric tube, gastrostomy, gastro-jejunostomy or jejunostomy tube?

Whether your child is having solid foods alongside their tube feeds or is solely fed via their tube, I can assess their individual nutritional needs and ensure they are getting everything they need to thrive. I always aim to ensure feeding regimes slot into day-to-day activities and suit your family life

Gastrointestinal symptoms

These include constipation, diarrhoea, reflux or colic.

I can support you with evidence-based and practical advice on how to overcome these symptoms.

Such an exciting and fun time! (so you hear everyone say) but it can also be quite a stressful time.

I can help reassure you and give some safe and practical tips, this could include meal plans for weaning.

Vegan and vegetarian diet

I can help give guidance on how to meet your child's nutritional needs following a vegan or vegetarian diet.

Neurodiverse and ARFID

I  have a wealth of experience working with children and young adults with neurodiversity.

I can provide individual support with any associated feeding difficulties, for example sensory processing difficulties, selective eating and ARFID (Avoidant Restrictive Eating Disorder).

What Parents Think

Thank you so much for last night Aimee. It was all very helpful and informative. And you’ve made me feel less anxious and slightly excited to progress with the milk ladder with George.

The report was really helpful as it has basically summarised all of the key points to take away. Thanks for sending over the recipes aswell’
